Description
English: General cargo ship KÄTE (IMO 5183417) built at J. J. Sietas Schiffswerft, Hamburg-Neuenfelde, for Willy Gerdau, Hamburg-Neuenfelde (yard № 318, launched: 04-1935, delivered: 1935), first coastal motor vessel ever built by this shipyard (30.23 × 6.55 × 2.07m, 147 GRT, 70 NRT), 1950 lengthened (37.00 × 6.55m), 1960 KÄTE (Willi Gerdau & Arnold Gerdau, Hamburg), 1965 renamed ARPE (Olaf Perrey, Hamburg), 17-10-1967 ran aground and sank off Masnedø (54°59'N,11°52'E), 20-10-1967 wreck sold to Jensenius A. Hansen, Bogø, raised and repaired at Søby until 05-1968, 09-1968 renamed LETTEN (Jensenius A. Hansen, Bogø), 1977 renamed TAMANADO (Carlton Rabiall, Kingston, St. Vincent); photo by J.
