La galerie David d'Angers a été installée en 1984 dans l'ancienne abbatiale Toussaint, datant du XIIe siècle, aménagée et recouverte d'une verrière par l'architecte Pierre Prunet pour accueillir les oeuvres. C'est Viviane Huchard (1946-2005), conservateur général, directrice des musées d'Angers de 1974 à 1992 qui en est à l'origine. Site de la galerie David d'Angers
