Description
Deutsch: Junkers Ju 88 D-2 (G2 + xH, weisses x*), 1.(F)/124, in Aalborg/Dänemark, 1941. Rechts Flugzeugführer Fw Hermann Rummler aus Bad Mergentheim, links die Besatzung und zwei Flugzeugwarte. Die Fernaufklärungsstaffel lag ab Januar 1941 in Aalborg, und rüstet dort im Februar 1941 von der Dornier Do 215 auf die Junkers Ju 88 D-2 mit 2x Jumo 211 B/G, um (siehe Foto). Der Fernaufklärer "D-2" war aus der Bombervariante "A-5" der Ju 88 entwickelt worden, und benutzte die selben Triebwerke: 2x Junkers-V12 Jumo 211 B-1/G-1 mit je 1200 PS Startleistung. Am 9. Juni 1941 verlegt die 1.(F)/124 nach Kirkenes in Nordnorwegen, und am 1. November 1941 nach Kemi in Finnland. (*x = Flugzeugkennbuchstabe unbekannt, H = Staffelkennbuchstabe der 1. Staffel, G2 = Verbandskennzeichen/Geschwaderkennung der Fernauklärungsgruppe 124; wahrscheinlich war in der (F)/124 niemals eine 2. und 3. Staffel eingerichtet worden.)
