| Description |
English: Junction of Moggs Mead and Pulens Lane I am sure there are countless examples of this throughout the country, but before this area was sold for housing it was known as Mugsmead. The local authority felt no-one would buy a house in such a named road and changed it to Moggs Mead. They claimed the "Moggs" spelling came from an old map- but keen local historians (of whom there are many) have never been able to track it down. |
