Description
Nederlands: Rath en Doodeheefver, voorheen leerfabriek de Brabander, kort voor de sloop. Gebouwd in 1911 naar een ontwerp van architect P. Aarts uit Rijen.

In 1944 wordt het gebouw zwaar beschadigd door bombardementen gevolgd door brand. In 1947 wordt besloten de fabriek te herbouwen, alleen de oorspronkelijke schoorsteen en watertoren blijven behouden. In 1956 gaat de leerfabriek failliet. Na een doorstart moet de leerfabriek in 1959 voorgoed sluiten. In 1960 vestigt de Nederlandse Behangpapier industrie NV in het pand. In 1971 wordt het Goudsmit-Hoff. In 1980 neemt Rath en Doodeheefver de behangfabriek over. In 1998 gaat Rath en Doodeheefver faillet.

In 2008 wordt het complex opgekocht door een particulier bouwbedrijf. In 2009 wordt het complex gesloopt op de schoorsteen na. Op de plek wordt een appartementen complex geheel in de stijl van de voormalige fabriek gebouwd.
