Deutsch: Dieser Situationsplan aus dem Jahr 1928 zeigt die bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt bestehenden Schulgebäude und Grundstücke im Loog auf Juist, die zum Teil zur Gemüsezucht oder für die Begrünung mit Bäumen, Sträuchern und Blumen vorgesehen waren.
Legende: 1 'Diesseits' (Schulhauptgebäude mit Mensa), 2 'Westfalenhalle' (Sanitärräume, Werkstatt, Küche), 3 'Jenseits' (Schüler-Wohnräume), 4 'Olymp' (Stall für Pferd, Schweine und Geflügel) im Süden neben einem Teich, 5 Anbau für Material, 6 'do' (Lehrerwohnungen + Krankenstation), 7 Anbau 're' (2 Unterrichtsräume), 8 Schuppen für Material, 9 'Arche' (Schüler-Wohnräume + Lehrerwohnungen), 10 Anbau 'mi' (Naturwissenschaftliche Unterrichtsräume und -Lehrsammlung mit Seewasseraquarium), 11 Lehrerwohnung (später mit 10 'mi' verbunden), 12 1928 geplanter, jedoch nicht realisierter Erweiterungsbau (stattdessen wurde im Folgejahr 'Neufundland' (östlich außerhalb dieses Plans) gepachtet. Die Nummerierung entspricht der Reihenfolge der Fertigstellung bzw. des Nutzungsbeginns. Nördlich von 1 entstand 1930/31 der Hallenbau für Chor- und Theaterproben sowie -aufführungen, den Sport und Kunst. Südlich von 6 ('do') bzw. westlich von 9 ('Arche') entstand der Botanische Garten der Schule am Meer. Hier wurden Bäume, Sträucher und Blumen gezogen. Die mit Punkten markierten wolkigen Gebilde symbolisieren die Erhebungen von Dünen. Um Verwehungen des Dünensandes zu begrenzen bzw. zu verhindern, verlegten die Schüler Grassoden. Dies diente der Geländesicherung und schützte in einem gewissen Umfang auch die entstehende Vegetation, die angelegten Wege und Pfade sowie die Schulgebäude. Auf der Zeichnung fehlt das 1929 bereits seit rund zwei Jahren bestehende Bootshaus der Schule, das sich von 12 aus gesehen in gerader Linie nach Süden nahe dem Watt befand (siehe Grafik 1 des Artikels). Von den Gebäuden stehen heute (2017) noch 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 in teils erweiterter bzw. ausgebauter Form. 4 ist heute ein Wohnhaus an der Störtebekerstraße, 9 ist Teil der DJH Jugendherberge, 7, 10, 11 sind Teil des Küstenmuseums. |

The uploader got the file for publication in a Wikipedia article about the school by Mrs. Erika Luserke of Cologne, Germany. The drawing of 1928 was made for the former school Schule am Meer on the island of Juist in Germany which was closed in 1934. The file was published several times during the schools existence and since for alumni meetings, multimedia presentations, historical research, historical exhibitions etc. It is part of the documentation of Kustenmuseum Juist. |
