Français : Symétrie et correspondance thématique dans Le Jugement de Salomon par Nicolas Poussin. Chaque cercle de couleur trouve un écho dans l'hémisphère opposé du tableau.

Vert : Le soldat et la femme qui se détournent de la scène
Jaune : Bouclier du soldat et un jeune enfant.
Lavande : Pieds des mères et des gens présents sur la scène.
Blanc : Jambes, tailles et corps des gens présents sur la scène.
Bleu : Mère de gauche avec bouclier et mère de droite avec bébé mort.
Rouge : À gauche, quatre personnes, dont le soldat, à droite, quatre personnes.
Turquoise pâle : Des vêtements laissés sur le sol.
Rose : Deux griffons.
Bleu-gris : Vêtement de Salomon.
Vert lime : Les mains de Salomon.
Mauve : Décorations du trône de Salomon.
Orange : Rideau derrière le trône de Salomon.
Gris foncé : Les deux colonnes.
Brun : Espace mural.
Jaune pâle : Espace architectural.

Une ligne noire qui délimite l'axe de symétrie d'après Salomon, mais qui n'est pas le centre absolu du tableau, qui est juste un peu plus à droite.

Yellow : Shield of the soldier and a young child.
Lavander : Feet of the mothers and other members of Solomon's court.
White : Legs, waists and bodies of the members of Solomon's court..
Blue : Mother on the left with a shield and mother on the right with the dead baby..
Red : On the left, four people including the soldier, on the right, four people.
Turquoise (pale) : Clothes on the ground.
Pink : Two griffins..
Blue grey : Solomon's clothes.
Light green : Solomon's hands.
Purple : Solomon's throne decorations.
Orange : Curtain behind Solomon's throne.
Grey (dark) : Two columns..
Brown : Wall space.
Yellow (pale) : Architectural space.

A black line delimits the axis of symmetry from the figure of Solomon. This is not, however, the exact middle, which is a tiny bit on the right of the axis.
