Ambos son acompañados por la hermana de Juárez, María Josefa. Esta fotografía fue tomada solo tres años después de la llegada de esta tecnología al país, haciéndola uno de los retratos fotográficos más antiguos de México. Juárez se volvería presidente de México menos de 15 años después de este evento.
English: Photograph taken in July 1843, the day of the marriage between Benito Juárez (at the center) and Margarita Maza (at the right), in Oaxaca, Mexico. They are accompanied by Juaréz's sister María Josefa. This photograph was taken just three years after the arrival of this technology into the country, making it one of the oldest photographic portraits in Mexican history. Juárez would become president of Mexico less than 15 years after this event. |
