Description
Español: Retrato del aristócrata y militar Juan Van Halen y Sartí (1788-1864), que fue alférez de navío de la Real Armada Española, mariscal de campo del ejército español, mayor de caballería del ejército imperial ruso y teniente general del ejército belga. El retratado aparece de frente, vistiendo el uniforme grande de mariscal de campo español, y con el collar de la Orden de Carlos III y la encomienda de la Orden de Leopoldo I de Bélgica, así como las bandas y placas de las grandes cruces de las órdenes de Carlos III, Isabel la Católica y San Hermenegildo, las cruces de primera y tercera clase de la Orden de San Fernando por servicios distinguidos, la placa de Hierro a los defensores de Bruselas, y el pasador de caballero de la orden de Leopoldo I, junto con la cruz sencilla de San Hermenegildo y otras. El retrato fue donado al Museo Naval de Madrid por el propio Juan Van Halen alrededor de 1853.
