Summary

[edit]
Description

English: It is located under Kablar, on one of the largest curves of the Morava River in the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge.

This place has been flooded since 1954, when the site of the old monastery was flooded due to the construction of the Medjugorje hydroelectric power station, and is often called New John. From the text carved on the tomb of Jerome Monk Philimon, it is concluded that there was a temple in that place even before the Battle of Kosovo. Philimon is the monastic name of a boy who discovered the remains of an old monastery, restored it, monetized it, and spent the rest of his life there. The monastery was abandoned until the arrival of Father Rafael and nuns from the monastery of Kalište in 1954č

It was renewed by the commitment of Bishop Nikolai Velimirovic.
