The kitchen is usually associated with strenuous hours spent overa hot stove, superintending cookery which has to be watched everymoment, but the automatic electric ranire allows the housewife todo other things while the roast looks after Itself. This kitchen wasalso wired for an electric fan, iron, etc., and had an electric waterheater Installed. A feature of the breakfast room was a multiplex receptacle, attachedunder the table, which permits of several appliances being operatedat the same time without trailing cords from distant baseboardoutlets. A complete breakfast can be cooked and served sizzlinghot without anyone getting up from the table.
