Private collection. This painting was on display at the Salon de Paris of 1875 (number 1257). Pauline Laurens (27 May 1850-1 January 1941) was a French painter and printmaker during the Belle Époque. She studied privately with masters such as Charles Joshua Chaplin. She specialised in portraits. She exhibited her works at the Salon de Paris, each year between 1873 and 1884. Most of her works belong to private art collectors.Français : Joueuse de mandoline.
Portrait d'une jeune femme en train de jouer de la mandoline. Huile sur toile. Collection particulière. Le tableau a été exposé au Salon de Paris de 1875 sous le numéro 1257. Pauline Laurens, née le 27 mai 1850 à Bordeaux et morte le 1er janvier 1941 à Paris, est une artiste peintre de la Belle Époque, spécialisée dans les portraits. Elle est connue également pour ses eaux-fortes. Elle expose ses œuvres au Salon de Paris tous les ans entre 1873 et 1884. La plupart de ses peintures sont la propriété de collectionneurs privés. |
