Deutsch: Das Ölgemälde «Italia» des Schweizer Künstlers Josef Ebnöther zeigt ein figürliches Bild an einem Strandabschnitt in Italien. Das Bild zeigt erste Bilsreduzierungen und Vereinfachungen der Landschaft. Es entstand 1956 auf seiner ersten Studienreise, die nach Italien ging. Er war damals 19 Jahre alt. Dieses Gemälde ist bis heute sein frühestes Ölgemälde, das in der Öffentlichkeit bekannt ist.
English: The oil painting "Italia" by Swiss artist Josef Ebnöther shows a figurative painting on a seashore in Italy. The painting shows first image reductions and simplifications of the landscape. It was created in 1956 on his first study trip, which headed to Italy. He was 19 years old at the time. This painting is until today his earliest oil painting which is known to the public.
