Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Joppa 2nd railway station (site), Edinburgh
Opened in 1848 by the North British Railway on the line from Edinburgh to Galashiels, this station is believed to have replaced a short-lived (1846-1848) one on the main Edinburgh-Dunbar line. When it closed in 1859, it was replaced by a 3rd one, again on the Dunbar line. View north from the present Brunstane station towards Portobello and Edinburgh. The 1848 Joppa station is believed to have been where the train is.
