Description A June 30, 2011 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rendering of temporary housing sites for Joplin, Mo., residents displaced by the May 22 tornado gives an idea of the communities will look. The U.S. Corps of Engineers is building the sites for the temporary homes at the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the federal tornado recovery effort. The Corps has completed site designs and awarded contracts for two sites that can accommodate up to 346 manufactured homes. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)
