English: Three young people meet underneath the beautiful, elaborately designed inn sign of the "Roter Hahn" hotel on a Saturday morning in July-August 1960. At least one of them is wearing the pomade hairstyle with hair quiff that came into fashion in 1955 thanks to Elvis Presley, also leaning against the wall on the left is a typical prop of the predominantly male youth world of the time, the "moped". In the 1950s to 1960s, Rothenburg's everyday scenery was still tranquil, with groups of tourists arriving from afar only becoming noticeable from around the mid-1970s.
