English: An Iraqi Interior Ministry official, along with Lt. Col. Louis Zeisman, of Fayetteville, N.C., commander of the 2nd Battalion, 505 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, sign a document official transferring Joint Security Station Oubaidy back to the Iraqi government, June 20, in the 9 Nissan District of eastern Baghdad. The JSS was officially transferred back to the Iraqi government under the terms of the U.S.-Iraqi security agreement, which took effect Jan 1 of this year, in which all U.S. combat troops must leave Iraqi urban areas by June 30. |
