English: Lt. Craig Duck, chaplain, Washington D.C. Fire Department, speaks to soldiers from 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), about firefighters’ lineage in the Army, Nov. 15. "During the Civil War, the 11th New York Volunteer Infantry was made up of volunteer fire companies," said Duck. "Even Gen. George Washington served as a volunteer firefighter at a young age." Duck joined soldiers in a spiritual fitness run through Arlington National Cemetery, Va.
