Description
The drawing shows on the right the volcanic island of Nisida and the cliff of Posillipo hill at Coroglio (with the canceled inscription "Promontory of Minerva"), then in the middle the cliff of the Solfatara with the town of Pozzuoli at its feet, and in the background the Mount Vesuvius. The view is from Baiae, in the gulf of Pozzuoli.
