Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In late March or early April of 1904, brothers Martin and John Lowing (ages 18 and 16) fled their home in Chicago. By the time they reached Council Bluffs, Iowa, they were penniless and starving, and decided to try armed robbery.

Their first crime went poorly: after robbing a saloon, they were pursued by an angry mob. John was quickly captured, but Martin committed suicide.
