English: Original Flickr description:
6 Red Cedar Lane Minneapolis, Minnesota Architect: John Jager Local architect John Jager planned Red Cedar Lane, a short street on top of a hill with plantings of coniferous red cedar and white pine trees that remain green throughout the year. This area had previously been undeveloped. He had help money-wise from his friend William Purcell. His simple house originally was on a wide boulder base with a small second floor open porch. But over the years, he modified the design by enlarging and stuccoing the upper floors. He lived here until his death in 1959. This is what the house looked like at one time. |
