Description Engraving of John Hardy MP, (1773-1855), of Dunstall Hall, Staffordshire, England. He was MP for Bradford 1832-1837, and 1841-1847. He was a solicitor, and a partner in the Low Moor ironworks, Bradford, West Yorkshire, having inherited his share from his father John Hardy (1744-1806). His wife was Elizabeth Gathorne, and he was father of Sir John Hardy, Charles Hardy, Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy who became Lord Cranbrook, and nine daughters.
