John Green Deshler (12/9/1852-7/7/1929) was born on Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio, the son of William G. Deshler and his second wife, Ann Eliza Sinks. John was one of the organizers of the Deshler National Bank and president at the time of its consolidation in 1910 with the Hayden-Clinton Bank. He was also trustee of the Deshler estate that was responsible for building the Deshler Hotel on the site of the original Deshler family homestead at the corner of Broad and High Streets. John was also connected with the Buckeye Steel Castings Company and was president of the Central Ohio Natural Gas & Fuel Company. He married Minnie Greene and they were the parents of two daughters. |
