Description
Deutsch: Das Hochfürstl. Schloß Dornburg, Kupferstich, 1757. Anmerkung:Auf Friedrich Joachim Stengel (1694-1787)geht nach aktuellem Forschungsstand allein das Corps de logis zurück. Alle anderen Bauten der Schlossanlage sind Phantasie des Kupferstechers Johann Christian Püschel. Das dargestellte Bild des Schlossanlage ist nicht durch originale Entwurfszeichnungen des Architekten oder archäologische Funde alter Bausubstanz nachgewiesen. In Lentz 1757, nach Seite 950 ist durch Signatur belegt, dass auch die Vorzeichnung zum Kupferstich von Johann Christian Püschel gefertigt wurde. Dies läßt vermuten, dass der Kupferstich keinen Schau-Riß von der Hand Stengels wiedergibt. Ob Püschel evtl. Einzelentwürfe der von Stengel geplanten Schlossgebäude zu einer Gesamtperspektive zusammenfügte ist nicht nachgewiesen.
