Description
Deutsch: Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim (1717-1803) Stich von Schreyer nach dem Gemälde von H.Ramberg. Der seit 1757 als Domsekretär in Halberstadt lebende Dichter der "Kriegslieder von einem Grenadier" war schon im Juni 1777 in Weimar gewesen, ohne sich Goethe zu nähern. Goethe besuchte ihn im September 1783, ohne daß beide sichetweas zu sagenhatten. Zu Goethes Schaffen hat der "alte Peleus" kein Verhältnis gewinnen können.
