Description
English: Looking at the turf pitcher's mound of the baseball field of Joseph Austin Playground, on 84th Avenue east of 164th Place in Jamaica, Queens. The mound is similar to other mound's at turf fields in the city, in that it splits into three pieces. It is also displaying common symptoms of city wear and tear, namely the portions of the mound at the rubber and at the spot where pitchers plant their front foot are torn. And there is no rubber. All likely caused by the use of cleats on the mound.
