Summary
[edit]DescriptionJiangnan Alto 002.jpg |
English: Place: Liping, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province
Chinese name: 江南奥拓 (jiāngnán àotà) Year of launch: 1993 Jiangnan Automobile is one of the many military Chinese manufacturers that also produces cars. The company was bought by Zotye Auto in 2007, which rationalized the line-up by giving up the Fengguang sedan and Shanghai Maple-based Chuanqi, which means the company solely produces the good old Alto since that time. Jiangnan and Changan and other small players like Qinchuan, Tongtian and Hafei (Songhuajiang) started producing the Alto under license in the early 1990s. The Jiangnan Alto is the sole survivor and still in production as Jiangnan TT and even an electric version, named Jiangnan T11. The Jiangnan Alto is the cheapest car on the Chinese market with prices starting at 20.800 RMB (€ 2,667 or $3,218). |
