Title
Jews harp
Description
English: An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy Jew's harp (1500-1800). The iron prong is missing.

The lyre-shaped instrument has a sub-circular head which is about 32.36mm in diameter. The tapering arms together with the head are characteristically lozenge-shaped in cross-section. At the apex of the head, on the front face, there is a rabbet that accommodated the prong or tongue. This was probably made of iron.
The instrument is matt brown with traces of a light green patina.

Length: 64.12mm; width: 32.36; thickness at head: 8.84mm. Weight: 24.79g.
