English: Dresden had many Jews in its town which were creating it and masterminded this town. Dresden was the first town in Europe which penalizationed the discrimination of Jews in history. The Arnhold family was a banker dynasty which gave noteworthy amounts of money for projects in Dresden over a long time. On the monument is written in German: " Auf diesem Grundstück - in dem 1945 zerstörtem Haus Tiergartenstraße 32 - wohnten von 1920 bis 1936 Lisa und Heinrich Arnhold. Ihre Namen stehen stellvertretend für die von Georg Arnhold gegründete Bankiersfamilie, die sich in Dresden über Generationen hinweg, als Stifter und Mäzänen, zahlreiche kulturelle und soziale Einrichtungen engagierte. Diese Familie wurde von den Nationalsozialisten vertrieben. Seit 1990 engagiert sie sich wieder in Dresden.
