Description
English: Plaque commemorating the 300th anniversary of the Jesuit gymnasium in Kőszeg where teachers were among others Mr. Flóris Rómer (1815-1889) archaeologist and Mr Alfonz Freh (1832-1915) botanist and among his schoolboys were Ferenc Faludi (1704-1779) poet, András Hadik (1710-1790) General hussars, Kristóf Niczky (1725-1787) school inspector, József Rájnis (1741-1812) poet, Jakab Sigray (1764-1795) magistrate's Courts of appeal, István Chernel (1865 -1922) ornithologist. At this place it was the old school building where for the first time the Jesuits (1677-1773) then the Piarists (1777-1815) finally the Benedictines (1815-1907) ensured teaching. Top left is seen the coat of arms of Kőszeg, to the right of the school. (Kőszeg, Schneller István Street)

Alfonz Freh (1832–1915) botaniste ainsi que parmis ses élèves se trouvaient MM. Ferenc Faludi (1704-1779) poète, András Hadik (1710-1790) général de hussards, Kristóf Niczky (1725 à 1787) inspecteur d'académie, József Rájnis (1741-1812) poète, Jakab Sigray (1764–1795) magistrat de cours d'appel, István Chernel (1865-1922) ornithologiste. A cet endroit-ci se trouvait l'ancien bâtiment de l'école où d'abord les jésuites (1677–1773) puis les frères pieux (1777–1815) finalement les bénédictins (1815–1907) assuraient l'enseignement. En haut à gauche se voit le blason de la ville de Kőszeg, à droit celui du lycée. (rue Schneller István, Kőszeg)
Magyar: A hajdani jezsuita gimnázium 300. évfordulójára emlékeztető tábla, amelynek tanára volt többek között Rómer Flóris (1815–1889) régész és Freh Alfonz Sándor (1832–1915) botanikus, és diákjai között volt található Faludi Ferenc (1704–1779) költő, Hadik András (1710–1790) huszártábornok, Niczky Kristóf (1725–1787) tankerületi főigazgató, Rájnis József (1741–1812) költő, Sigray Jakab (1764–1795) táblabíró, Chernel István (1865–1922) ornitológus. E tábla helyén állt az egykori iskolaépület, ahol előbb a jezsuita (1677–1773), majd a piarista (1777–1815), végül a bencés rend (1815–1907) vezetésével folyt az oktatás. Jobbra fent látható Kőszeg város címere, balra pedig a gimnáziumé. (Kőszeg, Schneller István utca)
