Description
English: Jerzy Grodyński, born Jerzy Kusionowicz (son of Józef and Aniela née Federowicz) in Kraków on 20 February 1883, was one of the first leaders of the Polish Scouting Movement and was killed (captured and murdered) in the Defence of Lwów at the end of December 1918.

"Jerzy Grodyński, one of the first Polish scouts, a member of the Scout Leadership in Lwów. He fell in defense of the stronghold in which he lived and worked for the development of Scouts."
As well as organizing 'Sokoł' and scouting, Jerzy studied architecture in Lwów (now Lviv) and also wrote a book on the effects of alcohol on human health. He was buried at the Cemetery of the Defenders of Lwów where he had a street named after him in recognition of his efforts in commanding the defense of the city.
