Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Jerusalem and Caersalem The upper quarry was named Jerusalem, the lower one Caersalem which is the Welsh for Jerusalem. The granite quarries were worked here during the Welsh Methodist revival so one can assume the use of the names was likely to have been reverential rather than ironic.
