Summary
[edit]DescriptionJerash, 1990.jpg |
English: A portion of the original Roman road at Jerash, Jordan. Located about 30 miles north of Amman, Jerash was founded by Alexander the Great in about 331 BCE at the start of his major conquests.
These extensive ruins testify to the former importance of Jerash as a major "Greco-Roman" center.
