| Description |
English: Jehus', Crickhowell A family business for several generations, the original shop was on the other side of Market Square. It was just a small confectioners' but moved to these new premises on the corner of Beaufort and Standard Streets some time in the 1960s I believe. It now seems to a general convenience store.
On the opposite corner of Standard Street was a cafe which was a cosy place to wait for the bus, above that was the public library, only open at certain times. Further up Standard Street, above Jehu's, Maisie Leonard sold newspapers in a tiny shop. |
