English: So-called Portrait of Henrietta of England (1644-1670), wife of Philippe, Duke of Orléans, but it is probably a depiction of her mother-in-law Anne of Austria (1601-1666) as a widow (see pictures below to compare)
Italiano: "Nell'Inventario della Villa del Poggio Imperiale del 1860-1861 il quadro è così descritto: "un quadro in tela [...] nel quale a mezza figura da Nocr et vi è dipinta la duchessa d'Orleans con abito nero; con ornamento tinto giallo e oro". L'opera è in coppia con il ritratto del duca d'Orleans, con servato sempre nei depositi del Soffittone di Palazzo Pitti (Inv. P. Imper iale, n. 542 minio). Il confronto con il Ritratto di Enrichetta d'Inghilte rra duchessa d'Orléans delle Gallerie fiorentine (Inv. 1890, n. 766; cfr. "Pittura francese..., 1977, p. 167, n. 113), opera attribuita a Henri e Ch arles Beaubrun, sembrerebbe confermare questa identificazione. La donna e ffigiata dovrebbe essere la stessa di un'altra tela dei depositi di Palazz o Pitti (Inv. P. Imperiale 1505).
