Description
English: God the Father standing within an oval frame of curling clouds animated with cherub heads, holds the globe in his left hand. With his right, he makes a gesture of blessing and command, to create the "fowl that may fly over the earth under the firmament of heaven...every living and moving creature, which the waters brought forth...beasts of the earth according to their kinds," (Genesis 1:20-24). Gilt scrolls decorate the cavetto and on the border is a pattern of interlaced white scrolls inside the molded white rim.
