English: U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee with Fire Chief John Ryan (far left) and Officer Steve Anderson at a news conference on 7 August 2000. The new conference formally welcomed the announcement that the Olympic Pipe Line Company will voluntarily water pressure test the pipeline which runs through Bothell, Woodinville, Bellevue and Redmond. Water pressure testing is the most rigorous test available to check for anomalies in the pipeline.
"The Olympic Pipe Line Company is being a good neighbor by using the best method available to test the strength of the line. There are a lot of people who support this water pressure test and I am pleased that Olympic is showing attentiveness to public safety and to the concerns of the people who live, work and go to school next to the line," said Inslee. |
