Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The most interesting part of the samosa is the way it looks. The samosa does not like like the usual samosa- triangular with filling inside. Instead, it has 60 layer of flour flakes, but has the same potato and pea filling and not to forget its delicious. The samosa comes with a generous serving of pindi chhole and gajar ka achar at Manohar Dhaba.

Conceived by Shri Manohar in 1924 in Lahore, nobody knows where it got its name from! Its recipe is well guarded and the name trademarked. Located at Diwan Hall Road, opposite Moti Cinema, in a lane that's squeezed between the Old Lajpat Rai Market Manohar Dhaba has an interesting history attached to it. It was once located outside Lahore's Dayal Singh College and was a big hit with the students there. Partition compelled Manohar and his younger brother Gurbachan to shift the stall to Chandni Chowk in 1949.

Mr. Umesh, the second generation of the family who is handling the shop says, " It takes us nearly four hours to make 100 samosas for a day. To attain the pluffiness of the samosa, one requires skill and delicacy."
