The expedition is headed by Dr. Jiro Suzuki, (man at right in first row) Chief of the Japanese Red Cross Association. The nurses are are the pick of the medical corps of the Japanese Army and all have been decorated by the Mikado for Bravery and efficiency on the field of battle. The party stopped at the Hotel Astor and sailed Jan. 13 for England" |
