Description

Rebadged last-gen Mazda Bongo, discontinued just this year.

Sound trucks (or vans) in Japan are just as loud they are anywhere. During election periods they'll drive around the place blaring promises and electoral slogans. In a municipal election they'll park near major plazas/train stations and have their local candidate have a speech on top of the vehicle.

Outside of elections the only political vans you'll see are those beloning to the ultra right-wing Japanese nationalists and (to a lesser extent) the Japanese Communist Party, which is actually closer (politically speaking) to UK's Labour and the US's DSA than their name would suggest.
