The first three dynasties are regulated by the male principle, created under theaction of the Celestial Reason. During the four later dynasties, there is a passive co-existence of the male withthe female principle, formed under the action of the Terrestrial Reason. Then, all the elements being prepared, the definitive creation was accomplished bythe action of the last couple of the celestial gods, and in two successive phases:firstly, by the union, still purely spiritual, of the two cj-existent principles, which ismanifested by the creation of Japan; and secondly, Ijy a physical union, which givesl)irth ti) the dynasty of the terrestrial gods, of whom four generations are reckoned.
