Description
Centsprent met 6 x 4 houtsneden, met de omgekeerde wereld: Jan speelt met een pop, gaat met meisjes touwtje springen en draagt een meisjeshoed. Griet klimt in bomen, gaat knikkeren en speelt de rol van kapitein. Griet en Jan trouwen, ze ruilen broek voor schorteldoek, en Jan kookt, brengt het eten, wast de vaat, spuit de glazen, en moet dweilen en wassen. Griet sjouwt op straat met 'mannen moed', de boer brengt Jan een kind, en hij bakert 't. ('Jan is vrouw, en Griet is man'). Jan geeft het kind eten, speelt ermee, leert het lopen, en geeft het slaag. Griet jaagt Jan het huis uit, en tot slot bespreken ze wat het kind moet worden. Met tweeregelige rijmende onderschriften in nederlands en Frans.
