English: Plate 20, from a Picturesque Scenery in the Kingdom of Mysore, from Forty Drawings taken on the spot. London: "Engraved under the Direction of Edward Orme", 1805 [plates dated 1804-5]. Oblong 4° (408 x 534mm). Hand-coloured aquatint portrait frontispiece of Tippoo Sultan and 40 plates by H. Merke, I. C. Stadler and Harraden after James Hunter. Later red half morocco gilt, gilt edges (lightly stained and rubbed). cf. Abbey Travel 424; Brunet III, 381: "Magnifique receuil ..."; Tooley 275.
