Description |
The building of the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower was officially announced on December 3, 1969. Groundbreaking for the project was on November 1971. Two architectural firms collaborated on the project: Brubaker / Brandt Inc. of Columbus and Dalton - Dalton - Little & Newport of Cleveland. The project was completed in 1975. The Tower stands 629 feet high with 41 floors containing 1,400,000 square feet. The site was previously occupied by the Columbus Board of Trade Building and earlier the Buckeye House and the Capital Hotel. |
