English: Jakhadi Nritya (locally called : जाखडी नृत्य) also known as Balya Dance is the festival predominantly enacted during monsoon months of Shravan during the days of Ganesh Chaturthi, in the Konkan region of Maharashtra and also in some lesser parts of Goa.
The festival honours local ancestral kings as deities while also paying homage to Lord Krishna. (The God of Love)
