Description
English: The Danish frigate Juliane Marie was owned by the Asiatisk Kompagni and used on the East Asia trade. It was sold in 1795 and destroyed by fire in August 1796. The frigate was originally built at Braintree, Massachusetts in 1788-89. Its story was well known and there were drawings of the event when Jacob Petersen made this painting sometime before 1810.
