Title
English: A Danish fully rigged ship.
Dansk: Et dansk fregatskib.
Object type painting

Description
The description given by the experts at Bruun Rasmussen left a lot to be desired. Based on a label on the verso, they described it as the frigate Betsy of Copenhagen. Trouble is, that such a ship never existed. There was a brig, Betzy of Copenhagen, matching the label's description of ownership and masters, but a brig is not a frigate, and the painting does not match the characteristics of a two-masted ship. Petersen typically described the vessels he painted along the bottom edge, but here there is nothing.
