Description
English: The photograph was taken at Old Buckenham Hall Cricket Ground by Sydney Smith, manager of the Australian cricket team, on May 5th 1921 at the first-class match, L G Robnson's XI v. Australia. It is the only known image of England cricketer Jack Hobbs batting in the match. Hobbs later nominated the 85 runs he scored as one of his finest ever innings. The photograph is contained in the Sydney Smith Collection archived by the New South Wales State Library.
