Summary

[edit]
Description

The black vertically oriented plate that has been visible in our cleanroom is actually the radiator that goes above our instrument module. Its technical name is the Fixed ISIM Radiator (FIR), and it radiates heat away from the instrument module (ISIM), the science instruments, and the heat straps. The images have arrows pointing to the FIR in the cleanroom and on the spacecraft.
