English: A Joint Tactical air controller assigned to Apache Company, 3rd Battlion, 66th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Infantry Brigade, pauses while conducting a dismounted patrol to the village of Sar Howza, Paktika province, Afghanistan. JTAC service members serve as the link between the infantrymen of the Army and the Air Force pilots prowling the skies above the battlefield. |
